OpsTech IT organization, with an unparalleled scope, is part of the Amazon’s WW Operations & Robotics team. We design, deploy and support IT infrastructure, devices and Services across Amazon’s Global Fulfillment Centers, Transportation (Middle Mile, Last Mile & Logistics), and Specialty Customer Solutions (Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, Lockers, Pantry, Campus, and Prime Air). Our customers range from Amazon lockers to Amazon’s Air Hubs. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to build and own our reporting, metrics creation, KPI definition and cross-functional mechanisms to fuel our success. As a key team member on the team, you will partner across Product Management, SDEs, Program Management, and Finance to drive clarity among a broad set of key stakeholders and partners across OTIE and partner organizations. This role provides a unique opportunity to flex traditional BI skills, but also stretch into product, program, and finance elements. Your work will be foundational--in this role, you will work on key initiatives and partner with business stakeholders to drive actionable findings and recommendations to drive key business outcomes for our business. The visibility that your work provides will enable us to quickly provide value to both end customers and our vendor partners. You can drive cross-functional alignment though strong communication and development and ownership of reporting mechanisms and structures. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
