Job Description - Corporate Travel Agent

Corporate Travel Agent Location New York, NY (Chelsea area) :

Position: Corporate Travel Executive Pay: $62,400 - $72,000 annually Classification: Regular Full-time, Exempt Work Setting: In-Office 5 days per week

TAG, being one of the largest independently owned, operated and recognized Global Entertainment & Event Travel Management Companies is currently hiring motivated, driven, and experienced individuals for full-time Corporate Travel Agent positions in its New York office.

Job Summary

TAG is looking for full-time Entertainment Travel Agents with solid knowledge and understanding of Domestic and International ticketing and fare rules in itsCorporatedivision. The position is responsible for handling all travel requirements such as air, hotel, ground transportation, group flights, meet and assist, and private charters for corporate clients.

The successful applicant must have solid airfare knowledge, experience with ticketing and reissues, and GDS experience.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Manage corporate clients' travel requirements while anticipating and understanding individual preferences and needs.
  • Formulate logistical itinerary plans to deliver a practical travel solution.
  • Fully service all travel bookings, ticketing and reissues with the highest standards and accurate documentation. Ensure all air, rail, hotel, and other ancillary reservations meet client and company expectations.
  • Negotiate the best rates from vendors to reduce client expenditures, where applicable.
  • Ensure PNR entries in GDS are correct and complete.
  • Participate fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions relating to servicing customers.
  • Respond to all communications proactively and accurately.
  • Consistently demonstrate an acute attention to detail to avoid errors.
  • Keep management fully informed of all potential problems or unusual matters. Offer solutions and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
  • Build professional relationships with key suppliers and always support preferred supplier programs.
  • Attend company training sessions.
  • Report, investigate and resolve errors and client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience working within the Travel Industry as a Travel Agent.
  • GDS experience
  • Experience handling VIP, Corporate and Entertainment clients

Qualification:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, ticket exchanges, and hotel reservations.
  • Strong customer service skills (White Glove)
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new functions and to enhance existing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment, exercising good judgment, and initiative
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem solving skills
  • Typing speed 50+ wpm
  • MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible work hours

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree. In lieu of education, equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,400.00 - $72,000.00 per year
