As the Global Supplier Management Leader, you will be responsible for developing and managing a dynamic and comprehensive supplier management program. This leader will enable the organization to evaluate, interrogate, and predict risk, develop and manage supplier contingency plans, and execute action plans to ensure consistent, stable and dependable supply for global operations. This leader will be required to develop a Supplier Management Program strategy including alternate supplier contingencies, supplier performance measures, integration and monitoring. This is a high-impact role that requires developing a high performing team, strategic decision making, long-term thinking, and effective partnering with internal and external customers to manage supply chain risk and improve supplier performance. Leveraging emerging technology and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiencies and innovation, this leader will be responsible for driving end to end systemic improvements to achieve breakthrough results and productivity. Key job responsibilities · Evaluate supplier processes, supply chain and business strategies to help drive continuous improvement in the global supply chain · Develop and execute a disaster recovery playbook to guide the Procurement organization through the process of responding to supplier disruptions and executing supplier transitions with adequate inventory planning and minimal interruptions · Continuously assess current business operations and systems to identify process improvements and system enhancements. · Lead the Procurement team in implementing solutions that improve processes, customer service, and business results · Develop and manage a Supply Chain Risk Matrix and measurement system to proactively identify products and/or suppliers that present a risk to the supply chain or business results · Implement best practices and/or utilize progressive tactics to drive and deliver improvement within the supply chain, operations and purchasing department through effective supplier qualifications and auditing programs · Lead the effort to drive end to end supplier performance systemic improvements (speed, quality, cost) on core, strategic components and ensure adequate capacity & capability of supply base · Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to track & trend supplier performance with effective feedback to strategic suppliers and small business owners · Communicate key supplier performance metrics at various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and meetings while proactively identifying areas for continuous improvement · Recruit, train, mentor, and develop an engaged, diverse, and world-class procurement organization with deep bench strength in pivotal roles · Create new and manage existing supplier partnerships to drive cost effectiveness, quality, reliability, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) & compliance to human rights · Enhance supplier performance dashboard to include Sustainability and Ethics measures to align with Amazon’s Sustainability goals · Develop emerging market opportunities to improve cost position & competitiveness, provide alternate supply chain solutions to mitigate risk & reduce logistics costs/lead time We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Arlington, VA, USA | Bellevue, WA, USA | Houston, TX, USA | Nashville, TN, USA | Tempe, AZ, USA
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of supply chain procurement experience, including managing growth and risk mitigation for a global supply chain - Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier quality & compliance, operational planning and supplier management - Demonstrated advanced project management and change management capabilities, along with an ability to lead cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams
