Job Description



Opportunity:

The Distribution Center Network (DCN) Senior Manager is responsible for oversight of all network activities including new DC stand up, DCN optimization, DCN inventory management and DCN performance and delivery. The DCN Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the DCN teams located across various regions/sites, and work closely across Business Unit and Site Leadership teams to deliver on commitments. Primary responsibilities include the overall planning, organizing, coordination and execution of DCN performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for managing ~10 members across the DC Network at the following locations: Miamisburg, OH - New Century, KS - Fletcher, NC - Napa, CA, - Quakertown, PA - Juarez, Mexico
  • Closely monitors inventory levels across Distribution Center Network to ensure sufficient to fulfill all orders and maintain agreements with key customers
  • Build and maintain close relationships and communication with all DC team members, site managers, planning and supply chain leaders to ensure service level agreements are met and inventory levels are maintained
  • Ensures DC Network is prepared for growth including new program onboards of significant scale
  • Develops short and long range distribution network design strategy, capital planning and deployment, service level improvement, cost optimization, and KPI/metric development.
  • Builds strong teams by providing opportunities for growth and development.
  • Champions innovation, simplification, and standardization of current solution offerings, operating procedures, methodologies, and processes.
  • Coordinate shipping with carriers to meet customer service level agreements
  • Execute upon framework established by transportation partners within organization to leverage contracted rates for improved cost savings
  • Supplies and equipment management to include sourcing and support
  • Troubleshoots ordering issues with customers and expedites as needed to meet customer demands
  • Training / process standardization network-wide and executes document control to maintain ISO 9001 standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred in a relevant discipline (Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain).
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics, operations.
  • Excellent planning, forecasting, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, customer service, relationship building and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed work environment, partnering with stakeholders across various functions to deliver operational and financial commitments.
  • Strong project and change management skills in order to manage multiple projects and resources in a remote, dynamic and highly changing environment
  • Strong leadership & organizational skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Willingness to travel 25% of time and upwards of 50% as needed
  • Propensity for identifying risks and issues proactively, making decisions with incomplete information and acting expediently.
  • To be successful in this position you are a confident team player, highly self-driven, and equipped with good collaboration skills. The ability to work under pressure and a continuous improvement solution-oriented mindset is required.
