Education Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Education Specialist. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Education Team to curate and implement professional education programs for booksellers, as well as provide support for our bookstore education conferences. Key Responsibilities: Develop, create, and coordinate education content and planning for our education conferences.
Prepare education materials, including presentations and handouts.
Assist in the execution and logistics of events before, during, and after education conferences.
Engage in pre-event conference calls and video meetings with presenters and panelists.
Manage the collection, organization, and distribution of education content and event materials.
Facilitate virtual education sessions.
Contribute to the overall departmental strategy to ensure the needs of our members are met.
Incorporate member feedback to enhance education content.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize education development.
Stay informed about trends in bookselling, publishing, and related areas to enrich our education content.
Prioritize equity, access, representation, and antiracism in all aspects of work.
Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and basic image/video editing software.
Comfortable with public-facing multimedia platforms and leading virtual webinar education.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a team environment.
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to travel for conferences and events, approximately 10+ days twice a year.
