JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation‘s war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today‘s missions and tomorrow‘s global challenges. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to: • Specializing in telemetry for real-time operations, data transport systems, and network systems under general technical guidance. • Real-time support duties include establishing end-to-end connectivity with pre-mission checks for voice, video, data, monitoring real-time missions for abnormalities, and correcting real-time issues. • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment following established procedures (Local Work Cards), operating procedures, tech manuals, and other official documentation. • Creating local trouble tickets and using Maximo to track work performed (as required). • Regular interfacing and communicating with the customers through email, phone, and face-to-face meetings. The ideal candidate will: • Understand how to use Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, telemetry receivers, video distribution amplifiers, etc. • Have experience and understanding of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) and knowledge of transport and networking equipment associated with data transport. • Have the ability to work with various types of data transmission equipment such as fiber optics, twisted pairs, and RF cables. • Work independently and as part of a team and make decisions in pressure situations. • Be comfortable working with Excel, Visio, and other various software that may be applicable. • Be willing to work overtime, irregular hours, and weekends to accommodate different mission support objectives. • Will have, or must be able to obtain and maintain, a DoD security clearance up to the Secret level. • Benefit from understanding telemetry systems and how data signals flow in these systems. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge in Maximo, purchase requisitions, tool control, logistics, safety, quality control, and preventative maintenance. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE Vocational/technical training beyond high school from an academic institution, or military equivalent training and a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience are required for this position. In addition, an Engineering Technician III must possess the following qualifications: • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs • Good communication and analytical skills • Planning/organizational skills • Ability to work under deadlines SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $61,630 to $66,560 annually. The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
