Join our team as an Enhancement / Detail Supervisor, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our clients' landscapes. In this role, you will lead a team in various landscaping tasks, train crew members, and work closely with our Enhancement/Seasonal Sales Manager to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Direct and participate in the installation of plantings, mulch, pruning, seasonal color, spring and fall cleanups, soil, drainage, installing lawns, sod, smaller paver installations and landscape replacements.
- Train crew members on various functions throughout the season.
- Coordinate with the Enhancement/Seasonal Sales Manager regarding scheduling, purchasing, and logistics of material acquisition.
- Identify and present Enhancement Opportunities to the Enhancement/Seasonal Sales Manager on a weekly basis.
- Interact with clients, answer their questions, respond to their requests, and provide a walk-through at the job’s completion.
- Manage a team of two or more employees, handling personnel issues onsite and training employees on policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the horticulture industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of standard planting practices and basic understanding of drainage and irrigation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, math skills, job planning skills, and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to train, lead, manage and communicate with coworkers and clients.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret financial information.
- Ability to build customer relationships and resolve problems within each property.
- Ability to read and execute blueprints.
- Ability to recognize plant materials.
- Ability to operate and use all landscape tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to utilize a tablet for entering time sheets and materials.
Compensation
The position is hourly non-exempt, with a pay range of $19.00-$24.00 per hour .
