Under general supervision, the Fleet and Logistics Manager will be responsible for developing and ensuring the continual improvement of the Library's delivery services, stockroom, and mailroom operations. This includes overseeing the fleet of the San Francisco Public Library's fleet, and managing staff and third-party services within the approximately 625,000 square feet of public and staff space comprising the Library system. This role involves establishing effective work programs, methods, procedures, and schedules, as well as preparing annual budget estimates. The Fleet and Logistics Manager will direct the replenishment and purchasing of necessary equipment, supplies, and materials, including the management of the Library’s stockroom, supply, and mailroom. Additionally, the Fleet and Logistics Manager will enforce established safety regulations and procedures and implement employee disciplinary measures or contract enforcement measures as needed. Minimum Qualifications
:
Three (3) years of professional experience in fleet services management or storeroom operations; AND Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; AND Possession of a valid California Driver’s License Substitution: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two (2) years. One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units.
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours. (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week.) Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
