Full Time Nanny/House Manager for Tribeca Family #FT

Full Time House Manager and Nanny required for a Tribeca family with two girls aged 6 and 9, starting June 2024. Specific childcare duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care to the girls, age appropriate learning and activities and child related tidying and cleaning. You will also be responsible for daily school pick ups (and drop offs when Dad is traveling for work). Prior to school pick up, household related duties may include, but not limited to planning family events/parties, scheduling travel logistics, ordering supplies for the home, liaising with other household team members and running errands for the family. The). The family is looking for someone warm, active and energetic who is comfortable creating clear, fair boundaries while keeping things calm and fun. Someone who can encourage creativity as well as motivate the girls in their learning. 

To be successful in this role, you will be a direct communicator and someone who is proactive, organized and self-motivated. You will need to have over 3+ years of nannying experience, experience with older children in a multiple-children household and flexibility with schedule (date nights/weekends). Ability to travel with family to Connecticut home during the summer is required. French or Chinese is desired but not required for this role.

Location: Tribeca NYC

Start date: ASAP 

Days/times: Monday - Friday (12pm - 8pm; 40 hrs guaranteed). Flexibility for longer days when needed (sick, vacation, school holidays, etc).

Children: Two girls, aged 6 and 9

Conditions: $30-$45 per hour* plus unlimited monthly Metrocard and two weeks paid leave per year

• Authorization to work in the US
• A four-year college degree from an accredited university
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a full-time nanny or 5 years as a steady part-time nanny working in private homes
• A well-suited demeanor for working with children 
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of
  child growth and development
• Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep as needed, organizing, closets, laundry, etc.).
• Openness to working in a household team (family employs a Chef and Housekeeper)
• A professional appearance.
• Fluency in both oral and written English.
