Job Summary:
The Group Leader, Production Control works closely with Team Leaders and Management team to ensure their respective areas are expectations related to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Group leader supervises 2-4 Team Leaders and 20 to 40 Team Members. Works closely on the Production floor to improve problems within the PC Receiving department.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enforce and promote safety objectives and communicate departmental targets to TL's and TM's.
- Control inventory levels by managing physical counts.
- Maintain Receiving staff job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Achieve financial objectives by managing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Provide guidance in the training of Team Members on forklifts in conjunction with the EHS Department.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional activities to resolve issues.
- Must remain flexible in work schedule to support either shift as needs arise.
- Must lead Kaizen events as directed by Assistant Manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- 2-4 years of Production Control Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong Microsoft Excel needed)
- Proven Leadership Skills
- Well organized with good time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and deal with frequent interruptions.
- Self Motivated, Team Oriented, and must display a positive approach towards change and flexibility in daily operations.
- Must maintain/ oversee Green Zone, 5S or other quality related program responsibilities.
