Job Description - Head of Sales - General Industry North America

Develop and implement the business, sales, and marketing strategy for North America for all General Industry division product lines. This includes sales, business development (incl. identification of new applications & M&A targets), pricing, products, logistics, R&D, and market segmentation.
Manage and implement pricing strategies for General Industries markets/products maximizing global gross profit margins and launching value pricing initiatives.
Manage and develop commercial and partner networks and interact with all players in the marketplace, including but not limited to distributors, customers, industry associations, converters, and suppliers.
Work with General Industry division management in the budgeting and long-range planning process including but not limited to: forecasting, operative planning, and strategic planning.
Provide strong leadership to a team of technical market managers in meeting current plans and developing new market opportunities.
Coordinate the profit and loss for the General Industry activities in North America, working with shared resources including but not limited to: Operations, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Finance.
Maintain leadership role for General Industry North America when working with other global Freudenberg divisions.
Qualifications arrow_right
Engineering or Technical degree from accredited university in Engineering, Chemistry, Textile Engineering, Material Science or similar field. MBA or Masters’s Degree in related field is desirable.
10 to 15 years of commercial and/or technical sales, business development, or marketing experiences as it relates to
Specialty markets including but not limited to: Energy, Acoustics, Micro-fibers, Composites.
Customer driven mentality, self-starter with a good technical experience and excellent customer relationship skills.
Understanding of value chain management, for instance identifying value driven opportunities, evaluating their potential and implementing them via new product and/or service initiative launches.
Proven project management skills with a history of meeting established goals and timelines.
Ability to travel within North America, at minimum 35% of the time
Technical understanding of numerous nonwoven related technologies and value added options.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Dynamics.
Excellent interpersonal skills for daily internal and external contacts.
Ability to understand strategic issues quickly in unrelated markets.
