HR Specialist (Specialist, Talent & People Operations)
For more than 40 years, Sunrise Landscape, a commercial landscape maintenance, design and installation company, has been serving West Central Florida with a commitment to landscape and service excellence. We are growing and have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Specialist looking for their next great opportunity to join our Team. We prioritize our people and our new Talent & People Operations Department team member will play a critical role in supporting a positive and engaging employee experience for our workforce. This role requires an experienced bi-lingual (English/Spanish) individual who will collaborate with our entire organization and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The right candidate will be innovative and bring to the table new ideas on how we focus on a people first culture.
This role will be located in Tampa, FL in the Westshore District area.
The pay for this role will commensurate with depth of experience but will start at $53,000 plus an annual bonus.
What You Will Do:
• Support our new hire experience by processing all information via HRIS including oversight of compliance with all laws.
• Participate in the management and delivery of the orientation & onboarding process and training for new team members, ensuring a positive and seamless experience from offer acceptance through the first month of employment.
• Manages employee benefits enrollment including tracking, communications and submission for new hires; manage QLEs and termination of benefits; liaise with insurance broker; support ongoing annual enrollment.
• Develops and manages all new employee communications – includes check-in's and risk assessments.
• Act as the HR Business Partner to field teams to provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related inquires, policies and procedures.
• Support our Seasonal H2-B Visa process from December-April by managing all logistics, team member needs, onboarding, etc. as well as a point of contact for employees. This will require a fully bilingual individual.
• Provide coordination support for the Talent Acquisition process as we recruit and hire new team members.
• Manage employee data; Develop and generate regular reports and ad-hoc analyses from HRIS data as directed.
• Support the Talent Development & People Operations team with programs including employee engagement surveys, talent reviews, performance management and other projects as needed.
What You Bring To Us:
• 3-5 years of experience in a formalized Human Resources function. Prior experience in a ‘start-up/entrepreneurial environment is highly desired.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is required. This is not negotiable.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in related field.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, regulations, and data privacy laws. We are looking for a compliance 'guru'!
• Experience with HRIS platforms including configuration, reporting, and integrations.
• Self-starter - will go and get things done!
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Tech-savvy and able to quickly pick up new processes and software.
