PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
As a Logistics Supply Technician you will be resposible for maintaining stock levels, managing inventory, and facilitating the distribution of supplies and materials within the Phoenix Arizona Veteran Healthcare System (PVAMC). This position ensures the timely delivery of sterile and operational supplies to various clinical and administrative areas, contributing to the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain stock levels at primary and secondary inventory locations, including replenishment and interaction with customers.
- Monitor expiration dates, rotate stock, and manage recalls ensuring supply integrity.
- Conduct daily inventory checks and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Distribute items according to established requirements, ensuring timely delivery to user areas.
- Prepare specialty carts for efficient transport and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Support inventory audits and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Receive supplies and material into the VA Health Care System, unpacking and properly storing items.
- Utilize inventory systems to ensure sterility and data integrity of supplies and material.
- Maintain stock levels and inform clinic personnel of changes in supplies and resources
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Practical knowledge of standard supply management procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory systems and automated tools.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in utilizing barcoding equipment and inventory management software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
