SUMMARY
Responsible for Logistics related processes, development, training, and support for multiple Jabil locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as one of the functional experts for all logistics-related systems and tools.
Understand standardized departmental functions, processes, procedures, and systems.
Introduce and support corporate-provided/designed tools.
Provide support for the assigned sites for all system tools and related issues.
Identify opportunities for enhancements and potential cost savings. Lean Projects
Define and/or document business processes, policies, and work instructions for Logistics.
Review commercial documentation for Import / Export shipments for accuracy.
Freight Billing Approval Process in the Tranzact Freight Audit & Pay System for assigned sites.
Prepare and distribute Weekly Freight & Duty Reports per assigned Jabil sites.
Daily contact with Carriers & Customs Brokers to ensure proper service and transit times occur.
Provide support to the Jabil Import Team, HTS Team, and GTS Teams as needed.
Prepare Export shipment paperwork, file ACE Export, and create shipments as required.
Provide Freight quotes for assigned Jabil sites by working with our corporate team and carriers.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position.
Create, Update, Maintain, and Issue Carrier Routing Guides per Jabil sites assigned.
Organizing and managing Customs clearance, transportation, billing approvals, and reporting.
Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.
Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
Addressing and resolving shipment and Customs clearance issues.
Liaising and negotiating with Carriers, Customs Brokers, and Jabil sites.
Answering both internal and external customer questions.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma required, and three years related experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
