Job Title: Logistics Associate

Job Function: Supply Chain Management

Report to: Logistics Manager

 

The Logistics Associate is responsible for coordinating all day-to-day logistics activities required for the transportation of products, via all available modes. The major focus of the role is on optimizing both service and reducing the total landed cost to our customers. The Logistics Associate will also approve and audit freight bills as needed.

• Utilize SAP to create cost effective shipments
• Maximize available delivery orders on shipments to drive customer satisfaction
• Export tenders to Web TMS and follow up as needed with carrier partners
• Communicate daily with sales, warehouse, and carriers to resolve issues
• Monitor all outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery to customers
• Audit freight bills
• Input freight invoices to SAP and batch freight invoices into spreadsheets
• Process customer/sales returns and trucker claims
• Any other duties/responsibilities assigned by management

• Individual Contributor
• Maintains all files and records and adheres to all company policies, procedures, and SOP's

• Basic warehousing, distribution and domestic transportation knowledge required
• Must be computer literate, specifically with MS Excel
• Strong communication skills
• SAP knowledge a plus

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• At least 1-2 years Logistics experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required
• Familiarity with SAP preferred
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English required
