Job Description
Job Title: Special Events Coordinator Member: Advancement Team Supervisor: Alicia Redinger, Director of Mission Advancement Summary: Will be responsible for assisting the Mission Advancement Department with the planning and execution of events and priorities. As a key member of the Marian community, the Special Events Coordinator is responsible for upholding and representing the Catholic educational mission of the school to the broader community. Specific duties are as follows: 1. Event Execution
- Coordinate logistics of events: events include, but not limited to: Trivia Knight, Scholarship Dinner, Auction, Knights In Need Golf Outing, Spirit of Giving Dinner, Career Day, Alumni Tailgate, graduation, and summer camps.
- Communicate with guests via phone, email, in person
- Write documents for publication via website, email, etc
- Keep event budgets
- Produce post event reports
- Create atmosphere to welcome and introduce guests to the Marian family
- Work on the Development Team in collaborative manner to meet fundraising goals
2. Front Door Greeter
- Securely check guests into the school with friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Assist visitors based on their needs
3. Develop relationships with families, volunteers and donors during event
planning and execution 4. Work as an active and effective member of the Advancement team in a collaborative and cooperative manner 5. Work with principal, development and admissions staff, as well as other internal departments, parents, volunteers and students to perform other duties and responsibilities as required 6.
