Under direction, operated the ILANG Civil Engineering warehouse for the Department of Military Affairs at the 183rd Civil Engineering Squadron. Processes a variety of general, industrial, mechanical or office supply items of considerable value. Stores stock and equipment; prepares items for shipping; maintains inventory and other records of stock received and issued.
1. Computes and establishes stock levels for supplies and goods for the ILANG 182nd Civil Engineer Squadron. Prepares requisition requests and work orders through the Integrated Engineering Management System (IEMS). Initiates inventory control plan to maintain adequate stock levels until new stock is received. Initiates emergency purchases of minor items as authorized. Maintains administrative files pertinent to the operation and function of inventory management using IEMS and Automated Civil Engineering System (ACES). Develops efficient store methods in allocation of proper bin or storage place assignment. Maintains efficient, logical and safe storage of specialized stock (i.e. flammable liquids, chemical and hazardous materials, etc.)
2. Posts and maintains stock records for equipment and supplies in IEMS to include receipts, locations; Issues and receives supplies and tools utilizing IEMS, ACES, and the Snap-On Tool Control Program (TCMAXX). Checks quantity and quality of supplies received. Packages and completes requires paperwork for shipment items; make necessary transportation arrangements and schedules pickup of supplies and equipment. Utilizes the local Hazardous Shipping Program for all hazardous material shipping. Delivers and distributes items as needed. Assist the squadron with mobilizations by deploying and redeploying personnel and equipment utilizing the Logistics Module (LOGMOD) enterprise system and ACES; prepares and issues cargo to include, but not limited to pallet building, inputting of forms and issuing equipment and supplies for deployment.
3. Prepares and maintains receiving reports, performs incoming inspections with regard to quantity and quality of products. Maintains custodian Authorization Custody Receipts (CACRL) of federally procured equipment; Consults with superiors in regards to changes in inventory levels. Assists the Tool and Parts attendant with processing, turn-in and disposal of State and Federal supplies and/or equipment in accordance with state and federal procedures and guidelines. Assists in maintaining proper records for the issue and turn-in of supplies and equipment.
4. Operates material handling equipment(i.e. pallet jack, forklift, truck four-wheel dolly, and two-wheeler) in the daily loading and unloading of supplies and equipment and organizing and stocking of the warehouse, which requires the ability to lift in excess of 100 lbs. Checks merchandise for damage; ensures supplies and goods conform to prescribed specifications; prepares receiving reports. Operates all types of office machines to include computers, typewriters, copy machines, adding machines, etc. Operates and performs normal services on automobiles and pick-up trucks assigned. Performs arduous labor as required; ability to climb stairs and ladders.
5. Responsible for the inventory, issue, shipping, and testing of Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) equipment items assigned to the unit. Utilizes the Air Force Calibration Authority Viewer (AFCAV) for test scheduling and recall information for PMEL Equipment; ensures all items needing PMEL testing are tracked and tested in a timely manner.
6. Assist the squadron with the installation, operation and troubleshooting of all assigned electronic devices and forms for communication equipment; utilizes the BMC Remedy Action Request System to submit help tickets and network with IT and communications personnel.
7. Performs additional duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
1. Requires active or retired (20 years) membership in the Illinois National Guard or retired (minimum 20 years) US Armed forces, if last duty assignment was with the Illinois National Guard
2. Requires the ability to pass a Department of Defense (DOD) background investigation and obtain a DOD Common Access Card (CAC) prior to hire or transfer.
3. Requires the ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, supplies and equipment in excess of 100lbs.
4. Requires being on feet for long periods of time and the ability to climb stairs and ladders
