Job Description - Office Support Event Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide account support such as new product introductions (NPI Spreadsheets) and updated product photos & data to the company's accounts.

  • Assist the company's accounts & manufacturing representatives in obtaining marketing and sales support literature and data.

  • "Scrub" National Account websites to ensure up-to-date and accurate information is being presented for the company's product lines.

  • Maintain technical knowledge of all new and existing products.

  • Maintain files on the shared drive. Including spreadsheets, marketing prices & other files pertaining to national accounts.

  • Follow up on tradeshow leads.

  • When requested, complete projects as assigned.

  • Assist customer service with rollover calls and provide back-up support as needed.

  • Responsible for creating quotes based on info in the SAPPI portal

  • Support the outside sales team with any requests involving the company's accounts.

  • Coordinate with the Sales Team, Marketing and Logistics Department on all aspects of trade shows for the Sales Team including shipping of all materials and booth supplies

Qualifications / Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some College coursework in written composition

  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Office software to prepare correspondence, develop reports, utilize spreadsheets, and create presentations required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated, passionate and creative team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within, and external to, the organization.

  • Communication – able to effectively and persuasively express self verbally and in writing, using correct language and grammar in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Organization & Time Management – able to work independently with minimal supervision, planning, scheduling and organizing professional schedule to complete actions within established deadlines, handling multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

  • Systems & Software – proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
