Outbound Department Lead Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $19.50 to $22.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday)

The Outbound Lead is responsible for loading and unloading freight accurately, and inventory control.

• Assist the Supervisor and Manager to maintain the operations of the warehouse facility.
• Provide direction to warehouse employees while performing individual warehouse responsibilities in a specific functional.
• Load/Unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding in order to expedite freight movement and tracking process
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports
• Communicate and determine daily tasks, workloads and coordinates staffing accordingly in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisor. 
• Identify system or process issues and communicate those to Warehouse Supervisor
• Coordinate trucking transportation in and out of the warehouse

Outbound Department Lead Qualifications:

• Forklift requirements: Cherry picker and Stand-up lift experience required (1-2 years).
• Technical requirements: Web based WMS experience helpful, but basic computer skills required.
• Must have prior department lead experience (1-2 years).
• Warehouse requirements: must have prior warehouse experience (2-3 years at least).
• Must have outbound/shipping department or order fulfillment experience (pick/pack and load/unload experience).
