LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking to hire an experienced Temporary Paralegal/Legal Secretary for our client in Century City. This position will last until the end of August/Early September and may have an opportunity to be brought on permanently.
Responsibilities include:
Draft and issue discovery requests, including subpoenas.
Coordinate the production of documents.
Format legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and other pertinent materials.
File legal documents, including briefs and pleadings.
Communicate and correspond with clients to provide updates and address inquiries.
Assist in conducting preliminary investigations and perform online research.
Create and maintain logs for privileged documents.
Generate standard form filings and similar legal documents.
Handle various administrative duties, including scheduling hearings, managing case files, and overseeing logistics.
Organize and manage indexes for pleadings and discovery materials.
Arrange and maintain exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
Support attorneys in responding to discovery requests and gathering pertinent information from diverse sources.
Act as a liaison between trial teams and both internal and external third parties.
Prepare exhibits for motions and deposition proceedings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Litigation
State and Federal e-filling experience
Skilled in legal research programs like Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and similar platforms.
Proficient in calendaring software for efficient scheduling and tracking.
