Our award-winning client is seeking a Pastry Chef Manager to join their team. We are a well-established fresh-food marketplace and event catering company searching for an experienced Pastry Chef Manager to join our team. We're privately held and operated, with a deep commitment to creating delicious food for all occasions, from elegant fine dining experiences to relaxed buffets and custom cakes.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 20 bakers and support staff.
Oversee all aspects of the bakery operation, including strategy, performance, procurement, inventory, and logistics.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and local health codes.
Manage budgets, forecasts, inventory control, and quality control processes.
Develop and implement best practices to improve efficiency and customer service.
Schedule staff and coordinate bakery specials with other departments.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in bakery management or as a pastry chef.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, food cost management, and food safety regulations.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience hiring and training bakery staff.
