Your Specific Responsibilities:
Completion of CHD Preparedness Expectations : complete all required monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables to include update/maintenance of plans, budget, jurisdictional risk assessments, emergency operations coordination drills, an update of state inventory system, Coalition participation, and other assigned expectations.
Maintain and Develop Plans : responsible for review and development of the CHD Emergency operations plan and its annexes such as Responder Health and Safety, Continuity of Operations, and Special Needs Sheltering.
Exercises and Training : includes all duties for development and execution of an exercise(s) and the after-action and improvement plan, responsible for update and submission of the MYTEP (following HSEEP) as required annually to Coalition and state exercise and planning through the RERA, develop relevant training for CHD staff based on public health core competencies, after-action reviews, and improvement plans, and the direction of CHD administrator.
Everbridge Emergency Notifications : responsibilities related to contact data entry, sending out notifications, and conducting quarterly drills. Serve as Local Group Manager-sign up new employees, participate in monthly statewide calls-Appoints back up Group Manager.
ESF-8 Desk Management : provide leadership and perform duties during an activation at the EOC or CHD to include technical expertise, liaison to State ESF8, mission management for health and medical needs, and reports as required to County and State. Review and update ESF8 Desk manual.
ESF-8 Incident Management Team (IMT ): during activation function in ICS roles as needed based on event type to include safety officer, operations chief, logistics chief or plans chief. Provide Leadership and creation of IMT per requirements of incident. Provide relevant preparedness information and training to CHD leadership.
Public Information/ Education assists PIO with the development of messaging and education for CHD colleagues and for external partners and media, regarding information and training as received.
External meeting attendance : Region 2 Domestic Security Task Force (RDSTF), Big Bend Healthcare Coalition (BBHCC), Local Emergency Planning Council (LMS), Emergency Management led meetings, training, and exercises; Statewide Hurricane Exercise, annual MYTEP, LMS, CIEM, Rural County Summit. Consistently makes self-available to key stakeholders within the county public health system and builds trust by sharing relevant information with them on an ongoing basis -e.g., community events, presentations.
Inventory : responsible for the inventory of preparedness equipment and supplies. Maintain equipment in working order: generators, message boards, restock trailers.
Completes PHP Budget(s ): works with the business manager to complete Public Health preparedness (PHP) budget annually and additional allocations for special projects and initiatives based on after-action review and improvement plan, or at the direction of CHD administrator.
CEMP Review and Approval letters : responsible for the review and approval of Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) for Home Health agencies, Nurse Registries, and Home Medical Equipment Providers operating in county as needed.
Serves as backup to FDOH-Gadsden’s PHAB Coordinator. Organizes data into logical formats for presentation in both written and oral formats. Acts as backup Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) liaison between FDOH-Gadsden and the State Department of Health, consultants, other agencies or divisions, and any individuals who contribute to the accreditation process. Develops and maintains databases of documents that demonstrate conformity to accreditation standards and measures.
