Job Description - Production Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. This role will involve supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The position has the potential of career advancement opportunities. Key Responsibilities
1. Production Coordination:
• Assist in planning and organizing production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
2. Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that products meet company standards and customer specifications.
• Communicating any known maintenance needs to Maintenance Department.
• Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
3. Inventory Management:
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels of raw materials and finished products.
• Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and optimize storage space.
4. Safety Compliance:
• Work with company safety officer to ensure protocols are followed.
5. Team Leadership:
• Provide guidance and support to production staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating employees to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce costs.
• Solicit feedback from employees to identify areas for innovation and enhancement.
• Implement best practices and Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and maximize productivity. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (not required). • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production deadlines.
