Summary
Position Purpose
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will function as the subject matter expert and work leader for a team of operations quality auditors by assigning, monitoring and auditing their work. You will ensure audit, performance, and reporting deadlines are met and promote customer satisfaction, both internally and externally, through continuous quality assessments/improvements. Demonstrating your leadership and presentation skills, you will train and guide staff, develops work instructions, and assumes managerial tasks in the absence of the supervisor. Logistics: This is a full-time position located at Gervais Street in Columbia, SC with the potential for flexible work arrangement.


Work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm. Overtime hours based on business needs.
Description What You'll Do:
  • Assign/monitor/audit the work of the quality audit staff. Monitor workloads, generate work samples, analyze the outputs for timeliness/quality, and ensure audit/performance/reporting deadlines are met. Serve as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for coordination of their particular work specialty. Represent quality assurance on workgroups/special teams and in meetings. Assume managerial tasks as needed and acts in a back-up capacity.
  • Develop work plans, objectives, priorities, methods and procedures to improve quality performance. Write, update and maintain all work instructions. Create reporting methodologies to analyze and measure effectiveness of implemented improvements. Use new or existing data to identify and implement qualitative and quantitative improvements focusing on prevention, planning, and quality control. Provide training for quality audit staff.
  • Conduct quality targeted audits for all designated areas of responsibility as needed, to include those audits of a complex nature. Enter quality results and data into various databases and present audit finding to customers. Negotiate errors/handles rebuttals. Complete monthly quality reporting for customers, trend analysis, etc.
  • Maintain effective on-going communication with all departments and their management, including task forces for implementation of process improvements. Actively participate in calibration sessions, meetings, conference calls and training.
  • Provide leadership and support for the quality management system by gathering, synthesizing, and presenting information to all levels of division management for the purpose of determining feasibility of proposed changes.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree OR 2 years of job-related claims processing, auditing, training, analysis, or operations experience AND years performing quality audits.
  • 1 year of quality assurance experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, customer service, persuasion, and organization skills.
  • Advanced business math proficiency.
  • Ability to document problems and assist in their resolution.
  • Ability to document processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce written documentation and summarize for management level.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
