Job Description - Regional Logistics Manager

REPORTS TO: Distribution Manager DATE: Feb 7, 2024

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Regional Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring proper process adherence and support is allocated across markets to ensure, ensuring on-time, safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of cannabis products to our customers. This role involves routing, manifests, invoicing and analyzing delivery metrics while ensuring a high level of customer service and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage order scheduling across markets to ensure timely delivery in accordance with established delivery schedule
  • Routinely evaluate schedule and take customer/sales feedback to ensure proper level of service while balancing cost to serve.
  • Monitor delivery performance metrics closely, initiating strategies to achieve and surpass objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery scheduling boards are accurately always maintained
  • Work closely with the order fulfillment team to ensure an achievable workload
  • Track key performance indicators and implement process to drive success towards targets
  • Maintain and continuously reevaluate delivery schedule to maximize efficiency and reducing costs while protecting revenue and customer demands.
  • Implement processes to ensure accurate order manifesting, verifying that all products and quantities are correctly accounted for.
  • Allocate admin resources to ensure that all daily required tasks have the resources needed such as invoicing, manifesting, route building and scheduling.
  • Track product rejections and delivery reschedules, working in tandem with local distribution supervisors and customers to resolve any issues.
  • Ensure orders are invoiced accurately and timely after delivery
  • Facilitate departmental initiatives and process improvements, ensuring seamless execution across all departments.
  • Ensure timely and clear communication with sales teams and customers regarding any delivery exceptions.
  • Regularly reassess routing, communicating with sales teams to secure agreement on any adjustments.
  • Ensure orders are routed within customer delivery windows and customer intake SOPs are followed
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date customer delivery preference in appropriate system
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to maximize customer satisfaction and address customer concerns.
  • Ensure that all orders and rejections are accurately tracked and processed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record in a Customer Service role, with experience supervising a team.
  • 2+ years in logistics scheduling
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and software systems for logistics management.
