Southern Ave Division: Solutions Job Posting Title: Senior Team Lead - 82037 Time Type: Full Time Summary The Purchasing Lead is responsible for supporting all procurement requirements and being able to work as a team member as well as foster a cooperative work environment. The Purchasing lead will be responsible for effectively managing performance and supervision of expeditors and/or buyers. The Purchasing Lead will ensure all procurement requirements are met. The Purchasing lead will be an escalation point as well as liaison between the planning teams and all internal and external stakeholders. The Purchasing Lead will act as a catalyst for process improvements and will work with internal IMS groups to monitor and deliver on goals, objectives and KPIs. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Expeditors and/or Buyers including back-up duties, vacation and time-off coverage
  • Works in collaboration with HR & Management Team to recruit, interview and select employees to fill open positions
  • Responsibility for leading team to achieve purchasing objectives and performance metrics
  • Ensures compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, Code of Conduct and Ethical practices
  • Assignment of work, capacity management and performance management
  • Drives continuous improvement to documented processes and procedures
  • Runs reports and analyzes data to identify potential problems
  • Issues purchase orders with accurate information (quantities, costs, delivery instructions), following purchasing processes, and electronic file maintenance
  • Works weekly Customer Open Order Reports for Non BOM PO's
  • Reviews and resolves any discrepancies with invoices or material receipts
  • Requests quotes from suppliers for new parts and price updates
  • Updates any price changes in Priority and on the Price Change List
  • Serves as customer interface for Non BOM purchasing requirements
  • Builds effective and strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, customer & the supplier community
  • Manages delivery dates and expedites to ensure adherence to inventory guidelines and prevent material shortages
  • Helps to identify and develop material savings projects to generate cost savings
  • Communicates promptly any material problems and lead in finding solutions to supply problems
  • Coordinates Supplier set-up and updates as required
  • Works in a team environment, requiring regular interaction at all levels, both internally & externally
  • Negotiates with suppliers to obtain better pricing, delivery and/or terms
  • Manages special projects and performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement capacity
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a lead or supervisory role or with lead responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications Education and/or Experience
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college in Supply Chain or related discipline
  • 2 Years plus experience in Prior Purchasing or Procurement Lead Role managing direct reports
  • CPSM or CPM designation
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
  • Experience with Purchase Order issuance and execution, as well as, contract management
  • A solid commitment for driving improvement, results oriented, ensuring department protocol is followed
  • Be able to work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment while also being an individual contributor
  • Knowledge of Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Order Fulfillment processes and inventory management methodologies
  • Effective oral & written communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills with focus on critical thinking and business process management
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to perform with little supervision
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal organization and customer/supplier/vendors organization at multiple levels
  • Ability to manage and help drive change to focus on continuous service improvement
  • Proven ability to resolve problems & build consensus, given competing priorities and multiple perspectives

Computer Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel & Power Point
  • ERP system experience (Priority ERP System Preferred)
