As a Coding Specialist, you’ll ensure that our customers’ information is validated, guaranteeing error-free customer Data in XPO’s Customer Information System (CIS). You’ll be responsible for updating corporate hierarchy relationships and customer-specific data elements and attributes. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• New account setup, including customer name and address records, associating name and address records to build corporate hierarchy relationships, and entering the various data elements and attributes required to support transaction processing.
• Research corporate hierarchical relationships during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Based on research make the necessary changes to customer accounts
• Research and analyze the impact of data update(s) and hierarchy changes on transaction processing for credit terms, pricing, order capture, invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Ability to deduce customer setup/ updates using logic and independent judgement.
• Account maintenance to add, change, delete or re-associate customer name and address records or to add, change or delete customer data elements and attributes.
• Maintain departmental productivity & audit accuracy goals.
• Research and process returned mail to correct invalid name and address records to re-invoice customers

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 1 year of experience in accounting, invoicing, or freight audit
• 1 year of Experience in OTC, Coding, accounts receivable, or accounts payable

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• Experience working with customer master file systems is preferred.
• Experience in one or more business processes that support the order to cash cycle is preferred. 
• Freight LTL, Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain industry experience preferred.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills; phone etiquette, vocabulary, written communications.
