Job Title: Supply Chain Management Specialist
Location: Hybrid role, can be worked from Cambridge, MA; St. Petersburg, FL; Reston, VA; or Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development Support: Partner with design engineering from the concept stage through the production pilot for mass production.
- Collaborative Work: Proactively collaborate with internal program teams, quality, contracts, and other functional areas to understand unique supply chain needs.
- Supplier Management: Source and evaluate supplier quotes, select and recommend suppliers, and negotiate price, delivery, quality, service, and competitive solutions.
- Primary Contact for Suppliers: Act as the main point of contact for program-specific suppliers and facilitate supplier business relationships, requirements, and performance to contractual obligations.
- Compliance and Proposal Support: Work closely with program teams during the proposal phase to support supply chain and contractual requirements and compliance.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Development: Develop BOM with program team and quality, including supplier sourcing and obtaining necessary documentation for compliance.
- Supplier Due Diligence: Collaborate with the supplier management team to complete comprehensive supplier due diligence to ensure compliance.
- Order and Data Management: Manage PO data, maintain MRP/ERP environment, and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies in partnership with AP.
- Liaison Role: Serve as liaison with material master, vendor management, and accounts payable to ensure data integrity of purchased components, suppliers, and payment terms in ERP system.
- Negotiations: Negotiate and settle with suppliers on damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.
- Order Status Monitoring: Monitor, track, and update order status, acting as the primary contact to support NPI.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with program suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance.
- Cost Avoidance Strategies: Work closely with the manager to create and implement cost avoidance strategies to ensure best value.
- Risk Identification: Identify risks and negotiate strategic supplier agreements with the manager.
- Logistics and Inventory Support: Perform other supply chain-related tasks, including logistics and inventory support.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a supply chain role.
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS acquisition requirements, related clauses, and CMMC as it relates to supplier due diligence.
- Strong written, oral, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.
