Job Description - Supply Chain Technician

As a Supply Chain Technician, you will organize and implement a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. Duties involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third party warehousing. Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. Serves as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts. 

Schedule will be: Monday - Friday from 5:30 AM to  2:00 PM, occasional overtime might be required based on business need.

The opportunity:

  • You are administering and maintaining material or process programs related to inventory and orders which may include imports and exports to foreign countries. 

  • You are staging and issuing production materials based upon work orders and/or coordinating product distribution based upon customer demand. 

  • You are coordinating the functions of shipping, receiving, material forecasting, Logistics and or inventory, possibly working with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction. 

  • You may plan and schedule deliveries of freight by truck using guidelines to provide economical rates and high performance levels, consolidating and building volume shipments whenever possible. 

  • You are conducting audits to monitor inventory level and to determine the status of current orders and to forecast needs for future orders.

Who you are?

  • You hold a High School diploma or equivalent

  • You have 1+ years of related experience 

Preferred:

  • Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001

  • Computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word and Excel)

  • Experience in SAP or other inventory system

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $39,700 and $73,700.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
