Job Description - Suspicious Order Monitoring Analyst

Responsible for conducting suspicious order monitoring (SOM) activities for the Peyton distribution centers that distribute controlled substances. Effectively utilize systems and resources to identify patterns, trends, and exceptions in pharmacy order and transaction data. Responsible for interfacing with various internal groups and division personnel to provide pharmacy reporting on inventory and ordering. Provide support and documentation to division Health and Wellness staff regarding pharmacy order exceptions. - High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years pharmacy or pharmaceutical distribution experience
- Motivated self-starter; works well with others with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Ability to work successfully across all organizational levels
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- PC Fluency Desired
- Bachelor's Degree
- Any analytics or transaction monitoring background or education
- Any experience as Certified Pharmacy Technician, CPhT. strongly preferred- Monitor and investigate certain drug orders utilizing the Suspicious Order Monitoring program and division resources prior to releasing the order to the warehouse for fulfillment
- Execute internal SOM policies and procedures and ensure compliance with documentation and reporting standards
- Assist in activities related to the implementation, maintenance, support, design, and feedback of Suspicious Order Monitoring program
- Analyze and monitor pharmacy transactional activity for trends and exceptions that may indicate potential diversion or fraudulent activity
- Monitor the adherence of Pharmacy and Logistics policies, standards and procedures as they pertain to pharmacy processes and customer transactions for signs of potential diversion, theft or fraudulent activity
- Create and analyze exception reporting to identify and support internal investigations
- Communicate with division Health and Wellness leaders as necessary
- Report concerning findings, trends or information obtained during investigations to supervisor
- Maintain statistical reporting of case information
- Maintain flexibility to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
