Task Leader - Logistics

VectorCSP is looking for Task Leader - Logistics to work in Elizabeth City, NC.

Job Summary:

This position assists the government customer in planning development, support, and providing advisory services and contributions across complex and multifaceted efforts such as functional and technical Support Equipment weight and material handling specifications to include professional or policy areas of the project. Investigate and/or identify business, scientific, technology, engineering, operational, professional and/or policy issues. Conduct analysis of identified gaps and issues, to provide advice in support of major programs/projects. Ensure successful task completion within the scheduled timeframe, consistent with the established scope of work to include technical, doctrine and policy solutions. Recommend and coordinate development of a cogent enterprise-wide laydown of Support Equipment which improves management efficiency, enhances asset visibility, and reduces cost. Capture and document critical business systems and operational process flows to comport with implementation of the USCG Mission Support Business Model. Develop project plans and milestones, status reports and other deliverables, and monitor the execution of all tasks for quality and timeliness.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Experience/Education:

Ten (10) years' experience in logistics, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in one of the following with 8 years' experience in logistics, or six (6) years' experience in logistics, or a related field, and a master's degree in one of the following:

• Supply Chain Management
• Business
• Engineering
• Logistics
• Information Systems Management

Preferred Experience:

• Government support equipment procurement via DLA.
• Proficiency in understanding material handling equipment specifications, load-bearing capacity, & safety features.
• Precise assessment of equipment conditions and performance.
• Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and propose solutions.
• Prior work in Support Equipment operations, maintenance and/or logistics is advantageous.
• Coast Guard process improvement and modernization.

Essential Duties:

• Define configuration specifications & business analysis requirements.
• Evaluate performance & condition of Support Equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, tractors, & cranes).
• Own & develop relationship with USCG stakeholders, to optimize and enhance Support Equipment integration.
• Help design, document, and maintain system processes.
• Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to team.
• Look out for ways to improve monitoring; discover issues and deliver better value to the customer.
• Assess effective equipment usage in material movement, identify bottlenecks, & suggest improvements.
• Develop, and validate business reports.
• Archive program functional documents and information.

• Independently lead projects and tasks.
• Excellent organization skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong skills across MS365 suite of tools.
• Strong ability to diagnose, identify and fix problems through discussions with technical and functional teams.
