What’s a typical day as an Apprentice Instrument Technician , You’ll be:

• Under the oversight of a Surgical Instrument Maker, perform finishing manufacture of hand-held surgical instruments.

• Perform filing, bending, brazing, polishing, and other manual manufacturing. > Some work requires the use of a microscope.

• Perform Machine work including belting, grinding, and drilling.

• Use measurement instruments including micrometers and calipers.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have high school or GED equivalent

• Prior experience in fields such as Gunsmith, Jeweler, Watchmaker, Seamstress or some Avionics have proven to be successful matches.

• An eye for shapes and ability to utilize specialized measurement devices, while using hand tools and machines to create the instrument to specifications is a must.
