Responsibilities
• Purchase materials based on company needs based on stock, inventory, projects and plans as well as the understanding of general sales and market trends. • Perform vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency. • Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities. • Signing and reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts. • Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management. • Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records. • Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies. • Conducting ongoing market research to identify beneficial purchase agreements and potential vendors.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED. • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. • 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or other administrative roles. • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. • Task and detail oriented with strong organizational skills. • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. • Ability to meet deadlines and milestones. • Good written and professional verbal communication skills. • Able to exercise good judgment. • Regular attendance. • A sense of urgency and a passion for customer and company satisfaction. • Ability to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
