CNC Machinist

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. This is a Contract to Hire position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire

Role Description: As a  CNC Machinist you must have at least 3+ years of prior work experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacture and inspection of high precision products of varying complexity under minimal supervision. 

Responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed and must have the appropriate level of CNC machining experience required for the job as outlined below.

Essential Functions:

• Set up and operate various CNC machine tools in accordance with company policy, procedures, and time standards.

• Perform various repetitive production machining operations using the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches and work instructions.

• Inspect parts produced.

• Transmit and receive CNC programs, maintain computerized and/or manual production records.

• Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to other employees.

• Perform other duties as required.

Required Competencies:

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to work with colleagues in a professional and cooperative manner.

• Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Physical Demands:

• Visual acuity (corrected) to read documents, drawings, instructions and to inspect machined parts.

• Stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend, squat, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.

• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Technical or vocational school background is helpful

• 1-3 years in a Manufacturing environment

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of prior work experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
