NOW HIRING A CNC PROGRAMMER IN TINLEY PARK, IL
DIRECT HIRE
1ST SHIFT
SALARY OF $90,000 (DOE)
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs to support our precision machining operations. This role requires collaboration with our engineering and production teams to ensure the efficient production of high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop CNC programs.
Utilize CAM software, particularly Mastercam, to generate and optimize CNC programs.
Collaborate with engineers and machinists to select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
Perform simulations and test runs to validate the accuracy and efficiency of CNC programs.
Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs to address any errors or issues.
Maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling setups, and machining parameters.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in the machining environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining processes and productivity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC programmer or machinist in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Mastercam or similar CAM software is required.
Strong understanding of machining processes, including milling, turning, and drilling.
Knowledge of CNC machine operation and programming languages (G-code, M-code).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
