Commercial Glazing Estimator Responsibilities:

• Foster trusting relationships with general contractors, glazing contractors, architects, and owners

• Recommend cost-effective, high-quality solutions based on design requirements and material availability

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to verify product specifications and provide design recommendations

• Generate competitive sales estimates using quoting processes and tools

• Negotiate pricing to achieve revenue and profitability targets

• Initiate project bid sales process and submit requests for approvals (RFAs or RFQs)

• Support Manufacturers Sales Representatives with project leads, quotes, training, and technical support

• Manage and track project changes, revisions, purchase orders, and change order documents

• Record and monitor sales project quotes, bids, sales, and construction schedules

• Participate in regular sales project update meetings

• Implement Sales Department operating practices and resolve customer complaints

• Assist with planning short-term and long-term business objectives

Commercial Glazing Estimator Requirements:

• 2-3 years of verifiable project estimating experience in fast-paced sales, manufacturing, construction, or related fields

• Experience working with commercial architects, general contractors, and/or glazing installers

• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications

• Knowledge of building codes and glass installation industry (bullet resistant, blast, and storm impact glazing experience a plus)

• Organized self-starter capable of handling multiple sales projects and prioritizing workload

• Familiarity with CRM, CMD, Dodge, IsqFt, or other project lead and quoting platforms

• Mechanical aptitude to understand and sell our products

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Associate degree or equivalent experience

• Strong attention to detail
