POSITION SUMMARY

Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands—product lines we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. As a Sr. Manufacturing Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing material handling and inventory control. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all ingredient balances through processing and tracking of all information regarding ingredients. You will work closely with manufacturing, materials handling, quality assurance and accounting teams within the factory.

The current shift option for this role is an overnight shift (6PM-6AM). Must be open and available to work weekends and nights.

  • Monitor, review, and analyze production process orders and inventory levels to ensure proper flow of materials and accuracy, while investigating any variances and/or issues that arise
  • Perform reconciliation of daily, weekly, and quarterly inventories and take initiative to recognize potential problems by leading variance troubleshooting activities with cross functional teams
  • Analyzes, reports, and corrects machine hours and produced quantity transactions in support of costing and manufacturing efficiency
  • Assist with coaching operators through issues, as well as train new operators or team members that handle inventories
  • Troubleshoot and guide production floor employees on various system issues stemming from problems around inventory, registration, or other system driven related issues
  • Corrects system generated error messages (or unused transactions) related to materials handling functions
  • Navigate various systems including SAP and other legacy software to troubleshoot and resolve problems that impact material handling and inventory control
  • Works with production management to develop action plans for addressing process failures
  • Perform continuous improvement projects to reduce material usage variances and waste within the factory

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 1+ years’ experience with materials, accounting, inventory or production systems preferably in a manufacturing, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $43,000 to $61,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
