Cost Accountant

Riverlink is looking for a Cost Accountant for one of their clients. The ideal candidate will conduct cost studies, analyze reports, and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and minimize risk, particularly in inventory practices.

Must Haves:

• 5+/- years of Cost Accounting experience in an ERP environment, ex. Syteline ERP System, Sage, Syspro, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Experience working for a company that keeps inventory on hand.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze cost impacts of product design changes, raw materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Coordinate with Engineering on prototypes and bill of materials changes.
• Evaluate actual manufacturing costs versus standard costs.
• Generate detailed inventory analyses and aging reports.
• Manage physical inventory and cycle counting.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
• Identify excess and obsolete inventories for disposition.
• Support budget development and financial planning.
• Reconcile inventory accounts.
• Perform other corporate accounting tasks as needed.
