  • Design, detail, and integrate electrical components and systems to deliver innovative and safe equipment solutions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design complex systems.
  • Size and specify power distribution and protective circuit design.
  • Design and troubleshoot complex PLC-based equipment control systems
  • Create, update, and maintain company documentation for all electrical schematics and cable drawings.
  • Interface with customers, sales, and management to accurately define system design parameters.
  • Practice DFMA techniques for R&D and production of electrical components and systems.
  • Assembly prototype electrical systems and conduct testing of components and sub-modules.
  • Perform cost-effective engineering exercises to optimize component costs.
  • Identify and resolve component obsolescence issues efficiently.
  • Limited domestic travel, less than 10% per year. 
Qualifications: 
Required 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or electrical technology.
  • Proficient in CAD.
  • Knowledge of agency compliance codes such as NEC, NFPA, UL, and CE. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical design.
Preferred 
  • 2 years of experience with AutoCAD or other 2D drafting package. 
  • 2 years of design experience with automated equipment.
  • Ability to perform short circuit analysis, breaker coordination, load flow studies, and calculate grounding requirements per IEEE Red, Buff, and Brown books.
