As a member of a multi-disciplined engineering team, this person will function as a hands-on engineer providing functional controls expertise for project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up as related to industrial controls for clients in various industries for our office located in Albany, GA.
- The candidate will be responsible for the overall detail design and/or modification of power distribution and control systems from concept to completion. (Power distribution will typically not go over 2300V).
- Must be able to oversee installation and start-up of the systems for multiple clients.
- Must be capable of creating new and modifying existing programs using Allen Bradley PLC platform and Control Logix processors.
- Must have some HMI configuration and screen development experience.
- Field work involved: on site equipment audits, confirmation of existing drawings, creation of project scope documents, start-up procedures, on-site software start-up and de-bug with operator training where necessary.
- 5-10 + years' experience for active participation in projects for various industrial clients (pulp & paper, food, pharmaceutical, chemical).
- Must be proficient with writing code and making modifications using at minimum RS Logix 5000
- Must be proficient with Studio 5000
- Must be able to read SLDs, EDs and P&ID drawings
- Must be able to conduct and lead engineering-client meetings
- Must be self-motivated
- Must possess business development skills to secure new projects
- Industrial Plant experience required
- DCS experience a plus
- PE License a plus
