Electrical Engineer Project Manager

Component Sourcing International is hiring a Project Manager (Electrical Engineer) in Charlotte, NC The Project Engineer is responsible for all technical/engineering aspects of managing new projects or existing business within CSI.  This includes the ability to use CAD software (proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD) to design new and existing parts.  The candidate will have excellent project organization skills to effectively and efficiently manage new projects start to finish, as well as a solid understanding of industrial manufacturing and elements thereof.  The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging CSIs customer base, as well as new prospects/leads, to ensure and promote the long-term growth of CSI.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Develop project pipeline for new business, while supporting technical needs of existing business.
• Complete management of individual projects from Quoting phase to finish.
• Work directly with sourcing team or suppliers to find best cost solutions for RFQs.
• Accurately quote projects to customers with margin maximization in mind.
• Maintain / Analyze data/metrics to determine project success.
• Ensure full technical organization of all project related materials/prints/quotes, etc.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure effective lead generation.
• Document, present and implement efficiency ideas to reduce project lead-time

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering / Technology (PREFERRED)  or Mechanical Engineering or related degree/experience
• PMP certificate or documented successful project management history of achieving results.
• 3+ years experience - minimum - in an engineering/project management role.
• Strong organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with CAD software and ability to read/understand manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with inspection plans, PPAP, and validating parts against prints.
