Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Assembly Technician to join our growing team in Indianapolis. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing, disassembly, rework, and repair of electronic components. You will ensure the quality and precision of various assemblies, including surface mount technology, through-hole components, and more.
HOURS: 1st Shift
Pay: $24.21
Responsibilities:
Assemble, disassemble, rework, and repair circuit boards, flex circuits, sub-assemblies, and electro-mechanical assemblies
Prepare boards and components for assembly
Stuff and assemble printed circuit boards
Perform touch-up and hand soldering
Box-build electronic components
Modify, upgrade, remove, and replace various electronic components
Operate soldering/desoldering machines
Clean and deglaze parts using designated equipment and materials
Perform intermediate assembly tasks like conformal coating, potting, and cleaning
Conduct initial quality checks on manufactured items
Assemble cabinets, chassis, and consoles
Assist colleagues in other related roles
Interpret process routings, wiring diagrams, and production documents
Understand and potentially contribute to Statistical Process Controls
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Two years of experience in electronic assembly/rework/repair (preferred)
Strong understanding of electronic components and their identification
Ability to follow routing instructions and interpret schematics
Prior training in soldering standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, etc.) a plus (not mandatory)
Experience in electronic assembly and rework positions (preferred)
Excellent visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to use solvents, flux, and other cleaning materials safely
Ability to use visual aids like microscopes and safety equipment
