Experienced Solar Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solar Technician to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings (Solar project). You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Job Duties

• Install and maintain solar energy systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of systems.
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions.
• Perform electrical work, including wiring, grounding, and electrical testing.
• Create and maintain records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Assist in designing and planning solar energy systems based on customer needs and site requirements.
• Educate customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry advancements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in solar energy systems preferred.
• Experience working with solar energy systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, grounding, and electrical testing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to educate customers on system operation.
• Physical ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, age 18 or older, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and hand tools. JM or Master license is preferred. Ability to work in inclement weather, stand entire shift, squat, bend, reach overhead, heavy lifting and climbing ladders.
