Fabrication Shop Safety Manager

Leading fabrication solutions provider looking for a Fabrication Shop Safety Manager. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated Fabrication Shop Safety Manager to join our team and uphold our safety standards. Position Overview: We are looking for a diligent and experienced Fabrication Shop Safety Manager to oversee all aspects of safety within our fabrication shop. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures for the fabrication shop.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide safety training to employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to fabrication shop safety.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate employees.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is a plus.
