LAB Technician I

Volt is immediately hiring for Lab Tech I in Maplewood, MN , with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
This is a first shift position.
As a Lab Tech 1 you will be:
Operating multiple pieces of equipment relative to the preparation and testing of abrasive samples
• Preparation and characterization of resin solutions using prescribed formulations and test methods
• Testing abrasive samples in a variety of forms
• Preparation of abrasive samples for testing
• Documentation of results and communication of observations during preparation and testing
• Maintaining clean equipment and lab space for safe operation
Estimated Duration 24+ months.
The ideal candidate will have:

• Associates/2 year technical degree
• Strong technical and/or mechanical background
• Experience with pilot or production manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices
• Hands-on, self-starter approach
• Comfort working with equipment user interfaces and Microsoft Excel
• Good written and oral communication skills

Pay Rate: $22.90 hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
