Capable of managing multiple engineering teams where the business opportunity or overall strategy may not yet be defined. Leads independently. Strategic management. Delivers a vision. Leads team(s) to evolve/create systems and/or product solutions that are exemplary in terms of robustness, stability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Able to proactively identify technology gaps and opportunities. Handles critical problems, decisions, and escalations. Mitigates risks created by complexity. Communicates and drives strategic initiatives with broad vision and intense focus. Able to lead one or more teams of engineers tasked with building or solving significantly complex or endemic technical problems. Makes trade-offs: opportunity vs. resources vs. sustainability. As a Manufacturing Test Engineer Manager at Amazon you’ll manage a small, multi-functional, diverse, and highly efficient of manufacturing test engineers. You and your team will be expected to:
• Serve as a test leads on our demanding, cross-functional projects with significant bottom-line impact.
• Ensure the quality and execution of our manufacturing test systems
• Proactively communicate technical information and status to broad, cross-functional teams
• Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
• Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations
• Develop test plans and test-setup prototypes for new technologies About the team
Highly skilled individuals working collaboratively to solve complex issues and coming up with new ways to improve the overall product design testing in order to delight our customers. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Sunnyvale, CA, USA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 or more years of relevant professional experience
• Minimum 5 or more years experience working as an engineering manager
• Minimum 5 or more years experience working in consumer electronics
• Proven project management skills
• Ability to spend up to 30% time traveling domestically and internationally
