Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer II position is the intermediate level position in the manufacturing engineering series with a focus on Electrical Engineering activities. Under moderate supervision, the incumbent will support all electrical engineering aspects of the Industrial Electronics Manufacturing area.  The primary job functions will include the design, fabrication, and validation of test fixtures and test systems.  The position will also require knowledge of computer programming with an emphasis on C++ software.  Other responsibilities will include trouble shooting of test failures and optimization of testing operations.  This position will also require the individual to be a participant on new product design teams and will play an active role in determining the necessary test equipment and fixtures needed to meet the functional test requirements of new products.  Incidental to these efforts, the Manufacturing Engineer II will work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and service various manufacturing test equipment, test fixtures, or products that failed production processing requirements.
  • Design and implement test fixtures and or equipment to facilitate efficiency gains and cost reductions
  • Work closely with manufacturing personnel to develop and optimize shop floor processes
  • Able to contribute to cost calculations and labor estimates with moderate supervision
  • Serve as back-up machine operator for various machines on the manufacturing floor
  • Support manufacturing testing operations in daily activities when requested
  • Follow all appropriate ISO specifications
  • Complete general manufacturing/testing/electrical schematic drawings when required in AutoCAD or equivalent software

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 (+) years of relevant professional-level work experience
  • Proficient written and verbal communication
  • Understands and is able to implement Engineering drawings according to company specifications
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with C++ applied in a Manufacturing environment
  • Understands the basics of 2D Drawings and 3D Modeling
  • Must be familiar with general manufacturing and electrical testing techniques
  • Knowledge of corporate and industry standards

  • Must be eligible to obtain passport
  • Occasional overseas travel for extended periods required
  • Occasional Domestic Travel required
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
