Manufacturing Purchasing Agent

Are you seeking a role change in manufacturing that will lead to new skills and  advancement?? A  Batavia, OH job shop is seeking a Purchasing Agent Assistant with shop floor experience in the metal industry or job shop environment to join the manufacturing team!  Pay: $20+ BOE
Shift: 6a- 330p
(5 hours of OT every week!!!)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating POs and receive materials
• Evaluating suppliers
• Analyzing price proposals
• Preparing purchase orders
• Maintaining pricing histories and other vendor records
• Coordinate with management
• Assist vendors

Experience Required:

• Reading blueprints
• Prior job shop experience
• Prior experience in the metal industry/knowledge of metals, types and sizes
• Extremely physically demanding, must be able to do heavy lifting
