Job Title: Swing Shift Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will directly supervise the production team on the 2nd shift while supporting Manufacturing Engineers. You will collaborate closely with the 1st shift to ensure a seamless transition and continuous smooth operation of the production process. Your main responsibilities include directing daily manufacturing activities, ensuring timely delivery of products to commercial and R&D groups, and maintaining the highest quality standards. You will plan and direct production activities, coordinate with various departments, revise production schedules, and develop operating methods to resolve operating issues and enhance product quality.

Must Have Skills

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
• 1-2 years experience in a Life Sciences company or familiarity with chemical handling
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, manufacturing, or process engineering principles

Soft Skills

• Ability to coordinate multiple departments
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Systematic and methodical approach to tasks

Work Environment

This role operates in a biotech company's manufacturing environment during the 2nd shift from 1:30pm to 10:00pm. The environment includes various machinery and chemical handling in different rooms dedicated to specific manufacturing processes. It's a busy and very casual environment where safety shoes and glasses are required.
