Materials & Process Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring a Materials & Process Engineer in Albuquerque, NM , with an industry leader in their field.
Our client offers innovative access to general aviation by bringing together a line of products suited to the missions and budgets of individuals and businesses.
As a Materials & Process Engineer you will:
Provide material and process engineering capability in support of the very light jet program. Support changes to the existing design, new designs and be responsible for the associated material and process specifications. Responsible for review and approval of supplier process documentation.
Responsibilities will include :

• Maintenance of existing Aerospace material and process specifications
• Creation of new material and process specifications as needed to support new designs
• Technical oversight of friction stir weld assembly process
• Review and approval of supplier process documentation
• Provide engineering liaison support to suppliers and manufacturing
• Participate in improvement and cost reduction initiatives

This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor degree or higher in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aircraft industry
• Material and process specification experience
• Project management experience

Pay Range: $80,000-120,000 per year.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
